Levy funded improvements would include improved safety and maintenance, improved playground maintenance and repair, upgraded restrooms, water efficiency upgrades to the irrigation system and pond, and ADA accessibility upgrades.
Improves daily maintenance and management of existing parks through increased Park Operations staffing
Replaces or repairs every playground in need within Spokane parks, improving playground accessibility, and adding 9 new larger community park playgrounds
Repairs or replaces every restroom in Spokane parks, and adds restrooms to key locations
Safer parks mean safer neighborhoods
Replaces approximately 175 acres of antiquated irrigation, all manual systems and several unreliable hydraulic systems with fully automated, high-efficiency systems
Key improvements include enhanced annual repair and improvement of damaged park infrastructure citywide including walkways, roofs, utilities, parking, lighting, etc.
