Levy funded improvements would include improved safety and maintenance, upgraded restrooms, enhanced Woodland Center maintenance, water efficiency upgrades to both the arboretum and the street tree exhibit, enhanced parking lot maintenance, and enhanced natural land management.
Improves daily maintenance and management of existing parks through increased Park Operations staffing
Repairs or replaces every restroom in Spokane parks, and adds restrooms to key locations
Safer parks mean safer neighborhoods
Key improvements include enhanced annual repair and improvement of damaged park infrastructure citywide including walkways, roofs, utilities, parking, lighting, etc.
Creates a citywide ‘Natural Lands Acquisition and Management Plan’ and a dedicated fund for acquisition of priority natural land
Replaces approximately 175 acres of antiquated irrigation, all manual systems and several unreliable hydraulic systems with fully automated, high-efficiency systems
