A community survey conducted during the 2022 Spokane Parks Master Plan identified several community desires for park amenity improvements – better racquet sports (including dedicated courts for pickleball & tennis), pump tracks / BMX facilities, disc golf courses, dog parks, and picnic areas were the most requested amenities citywide. In response to this desire, the proposed levy will fund replacement of all existing racquet sport courts, add one new outdoor pump track / skate park and one new disc golf course at locations to be determined, add one new all-weather surface, lighted rectangular field at Southeast Sports Complex, and renovate 3-5 existing baseball/softball fields with artificial surface infields and/or new lighting at locations determined appropriate with project stakeholders (Franklin Park, Dwight Merkel Sports Complex, BA Clark Park).

Key Improvements:

• Replacement of all (14) existing racquet sport courts citywide
• Addition of (1) new outdoor pump track / skate park
• Addition of (1) new outdoor disc golf course
• Addition of (1) new all weather surface, lighted rectangular field
• Renovation of (3-5) existing baseball/softball fields with artificial surface infield and/or new lighting
